5th Grade Celebration (June)
This is the event to celebrate all that our 5th graders have done while at Lacamas and help them say goodbye to their elementary school days.
5th Grade Track Meet (June)
All Lacamas 5th graders participate in a fun-filled day of track & field events as they compete against other 5th graders from other Camas schools. This event is held at Doc Harris Stadium.
Bookworm Bazaar (December, March & May)
This program helps to reward all our Lacamas readers! Each student is able to received points for their reading that can be used to purchase items or experiences at our bookworm bazaars. Help your kids continue to read and collect those points!!
Book Fairs (September & June)
PALS conducts several Scholastic book fairs during the year in order to help provide opportunities for families to purchase books. All proceeds from the book fairs go back to our school to help support our library and reading programs..
Fall Festival (October)
This is an event in which family and friends can come and enjoy a night of carnival like games and activities, participate in game of bingo or a cake wake, walk thought a haunted hallway as well as do some trick-or-treating. Costumes are welcome, but not required,
Family Fun Run (May)
An event for Lacamas students, family and friends to participate in a fun-filled run and walk around the Camas High School track. This helps offer Lacamas' students the ability to fill their lap cards that they have as a part of Lacamas' PE running program.
Family Game Night (January)
An event for all family members to be able to spend the evening playing fun games with each other and other Lacamas families.
Family Learning Night (September)
An event for all family members to learn more about your child's grade level curriculum, visit our fair, engage in fun family activities and connect with the teach staff and other Lacamas families.
Family Movie Night (November & April)
Enjoy a movie with all your Lacamas friends in our gym! Popcorn and refreshments will be available for purchase as well as your ability to purchase raffle prizes to bring an extra special treat home.
Field Day & BBQ (June)
This is a fun filled day of games and activities for our kids as we close out the school year! All kids are also invited to enjoy a BBQ lunch provided by the PALS group..
Lacamas Showcase / Ice Cream Social (June)
This is an event in which family and friends can come and see all the wonderful things our kids have done during the year. Everyone is also invited to enjoy an ice cream sundae provided by the PALS group.
Spring Dance (March)
Time to let your hair down and doing some dancing!!
Spot-A-Thon (September)
This is our only active fundraiser held at the beginning of the school year. Students collect money through a direct drive, where all proceeds go to PALS to fund educational and fun opportunities throughout the school year. Students have the ability to earn prizes and be entered into drawings during the fundraiser. At the completion of the event, all students will participate in fun activities to promote muscular strength, endurance, flexibility, and cardio-respiratory fitness. Staff Appreciation Week (May)
This is our time to show our Lacamas Teachers and Staff how much we appreciate them and everything they do for our kids! PALS works to provide several "tokens" of thanks to all of teachers and staff,
Sweets with your Sweetie (February)
This is an event held in conjunctions with our Scholastic book fairs in which anyone may come to Lacamas and enjoy breakfast with their leopard and then have a chance to visit the book fair.
Sasquatch Party (June)
Each year the Washington State Library Association selects and nominate books for a Sasquatch Award. Lacamas students in 3rd thru 5th grade who read at least three of the nominated books are eligible to attend the Sasquatch Party. This is help during their lunch hour and they are able to enjoy lunch, a treats and receive a goodie bag to celebrate.
